We harvest our fine dates with the “Del Desierto and El Jeque” brand names under ideal weather conditions. Our plantation is at the heart of the Sonoran desert, where temperatures reach over 120 degrees F. during the summer months, allowing our dates to reach the highest standards in quality that distinguishes us from the rest.

It is necessary to climb up to the crown of the palm up to 18 times to carry out different operations by hand such as pollination, thinning the bunches, de-centering, removing old fronds, ringing and bagging, and of course, harvesting. The harvest is a very selective process with only the right dates being harvested at its peak. Depending on the variety, up to 3-4 pickings are necessary to complete a harvest. They are then taken into our modern processing and packaging plant where they will be shipped all over the world.
